The Bishop of East Anglia, Alan Hopes, has talked about his story of faith, his conversion to the Catholic Church and life as a bishop on the Ignite First Fridays YouTube show.
Interviewed by show host Ciaran Losasso on 1st January, Bishop Hopes said his favourite part of being a bishop was getting out from behind his desk to visit parishes, schools and prisons and meeting lots of people.
“I am just a big parish priest really,” he said.
He also said he was looking forward to retiring in the diocese, which would come sometime in 2021 he expected.
