Internationally renowned and beloved Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli speaks to Nick Benson in an exclusive interview in next week’s special bumper Christmas edition of The Catholic Universe.
Bocelli discusses his Catholic faith and how it has inspired his life and career; his record-breaking Easter performance at the historic Duomo Cathedral in Milan; and his latest album, Believe.
The tenor also shares a very special Christmas message especially for our readers.
Bocelli recently released his deeply moving version of the traditional Christmas carol Silent Night (Piano Version). The track is available to stream and download now on Sugar/Decca Records.
An enthusiast of the yearly Christian tradition, Bocelli plans to spend time at home in Tuscany with his family, reflecting on the year and making new memories with those closest to him.
“I hope listeners have an opportunity to come together with their loved ones and enjoy the warmth and intimacy that Christmas evokes. This song holds such special memories for me personally and I am delighted to share it with the world,” he said.
The Christmas track follows the release of Bocelli’s 12th UK Top 10 album Believe, which landed at number three in the Official UK Album Chart last month.
The album, heavily inspired by Bocelli’s spirituality and Catholic faith, became the fastest-selling, highest charting classical release of 2020 in the UK.
